61 year old mother of three. Two boys and one girl, that I lost in a car accident in 1991. Started UC Berkeley in 1965, 1966 and 67. Had jobs with long-distance phone company in Oakland, the "Lighthouse" in Richmond, and odd jobs until 1974, when I started Medical Transcribing until 1994, when I retired and my body started having lots of problems. My days at DeAnza were quite unforgettable. I started in 1959 as a 7th grader and I talked with a southern drawl, which I hated. My classmates would mimic me. As insecure as I was I felt bad because I was different...Little did I know they were not making fun but loved to hear me talk, which I did not realize until my 10th year class reunion when someone(I cant remember who)told me. My fondest memories were those in band and orchestra with Mr.Bee. I hope I am remembered as fun loving, caring and trustworthy. I wonder if I was that way. Those years are so tough...Thinking you know everything, making bad choices because you want to be independent and not thinking of any one's feelings but yours... Wow, that was pretty deep...It is 2009 almost 2010. Where did the time go??? I don't recognize the person in the mirror...I have been retired for 12 years and enjoy it immensely after working two jobs to support my family. I wasn't the best mother becaus...Expand for more
